Finally, she shows us a great movie! We watched the film Pecker by iconic film director John Waters. I love this movie! I remember I saw this film when I was probably about six and didn't really understand it but the thing was was that I liked it. It wasn't until recent years that I found out what the movie was and grew an appreation for it.
Yeah, there's lines in there that are a bit corny and the music is really off in a different world, but it's the message that Waters portrays that makes me love this film so much. This year when Hollywood Video closed down, I grabbed a duel copy of Pecker and Hairspray and watched it over the summer. People who were upset with movie needs to look past the materialisitc things and see what he puts on the screen as art. And if you don't get it, well....then you just don't get it.
One thing that I am going to try after seeing this movie is throwing away my camera lens. Okay, not actually thowing it away, but leaving the lens off at all times. That way I don't miss anything and can just shoot!
